Your Move

A fair game.
A reason to show up.

How the current Your Move pilot works.

1. Find your group

Install through the personal testing invitation provided for your Apple or Google account. Sign in with your own existing pilot profile and private sign-in code. An organiser can create a group and invite other existing pilot members.

On the current iPhone build, open the group invitation, choose Open Your Move, sign in and choose Join group. The current Android test build uses a raw group invitation code; ask your organiser for that code if a shared link does not open. Do not share your private sign-in code.

2. Choose a challenge

Read the challenge name, goal, dates and timezone before joining. Joining is your choice. The pilot has no entry fees, cash prizes, pools, payments or payouts.

3. Connect only what you choose

Connecting Apple Health or Health Connect is optional. With permission, the app reads eligible new recorded workouts after you connect. On iPhone, shared workout summaries contribute to the challenge; Android uploads and scoring remain disabled while Samsung compatibility is checked.

Weight entries are manual and optional. Weight never decides the winner, and no photograph is needed to verify a weight entry.

4. Know what counts

The competition uses active calories from eligible recorded workouts. Exercise minutes provide context. Resting energy, whole-day calorie totals and body weight do not count towards the ranking. Equal totals share a rank.

A fictional example, not a target

300 kcal in an eligible workout counts as 300 kcal. Adding 1 400 resting calories does not turn the workout score into 1 700 kcal.

Device estimates differ between people and devices. A calorie leaderboard is not a precise measure of effort, fitness or health. Missing active-calorie data must not be substituted with total calories.

5. Keep it friendly

Use your own recorded activities. Encourage people without pressuring them to exercise, compete or share health information. Take rest when you need it. Choose movement that fits your circumstances.

Check missing or delayed readings with the organiser before results are finalised. Team competitions, daily-summary scoring and personal-target scoring are not features of this pilot.

Set up your device

Apple Watch and iPhone
  1. Use your personal TestFlight invitation and sign in to your own pilot profile.
  2. Choose whether to connect Apple Health and enable sharing.
  3. Record and save a new workout after connecting. Let it sync to your iPhone, then open Your Move.
  4. Compare the saved workout’s details with Your Move, rather than comparing the whole day’s Move ring.
Galaxy Watch and Samsung phone
  1. Use the internal-test invitation with your approved Google Play account.
  2. Sign in to your own pilot profile.
  3. If you choose to connect, check Samsung Health’s Health Connect settings and grant the requested read permissions to Your Move.
  4. Save a new workout and let it sync to your phone. Open Your Move to check the import.

Workouts stay on the phone during validation and do not contribute to challenge scores. Compatibility depends on your phone, watch, software and data source.
